Relaxing in Kyoto

My stay at Tetora Hotel was wonderful. They have a reservable private bath on the first floor. My room was very comfortable with a tub in my bathroom. The breakfasts were different every day with several choices. The location was directly across the street from a 4 story mall and a couple if blocks to the train station. The staff were very helpful. I really enjoyed my 3 days here.

Great value

Booked this last minute and wasn’t disappointed for the price. Basic, but got the job done. Plus free breakfast in the morning and free alcohol in the evening. Very friendly staff as well, would suggest learning some basic Japanese phrases, it’s always appreciated. Would stay here again.

They didn’t clean the shower well — there was still hair from previous guests. The toilet drain was clogged, and every time you flushed, you had to hope it wouldn’t overflow. The worst part was that the fridge had black mold inside — not a small spot, but a large patch. I asked for it to be cleaned or replaced, and they did take care of it the next day. What was nice about the hotel, though, was the extra service they provided: free breakfast in the morning, soft drinks available all day, a happy hour with free liquor from 19:00 to 20:30, an evening meal, and even a midnight snack until the rice ran out. One thing I noticed was that only one staff member spoke English; the others had to use a translator, which made communication a bit slow at times.

Great place to stay, behind the Kyoto Station easily accessible on foot(around 5minute walk). Has access to temple and several shipping malls. Beds are a bit hard, but it's a great option.

京都駅南口から徒歩５分程度。小さなホテルですが、値段のわりには部屋はツインで広く、大浴場もあり、寝るだけならば充分なビジネスホテル。

泊まり掛けで実家に行く用事があって、でもコロナ対策で実家に泊まるわけにはいかなかったので、場所が良くてお安めのホテルとして利用させていただきました。 スタッフはフレンドリーな感じで好印象でした。 部屋に置いてる周辺情報が手作りだったり、ほっこりする雰囲気がよかったです。食べる所ガイドは参考になりました。 車で行きましたが、コインパーキングが周囲にあまりないので探すのにちょっと時間がかかりました。運良く24時間900円の所を見つけられました。歩いて10分程度でしょうか。だいたい〜1200円くらいかな？ コンビニもイオンモールも食べるところも周囲にあるので、とても便利なホテルでした。
