Best kept surprise!

We come to Slovenia ever couple of years to visit family and stay in our family cabin. Hotel Alex was such a pleasant surprise. Large room, incredible breakfast! We didn’t have dinner in the restaurant but we are sure it was also Wonderful. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful! There is even a small store within walking distance or a short 2 min drive. The proximity to the airport and Lake Bled as well as Ljubljana is perfect. We will stay here again on a future trip!

Our stay was grate properly is nice and clean. Staff were so nice and professional.Owner is always around meeting with all guest and making sure everything is ok. We were filing that we are welcome and wilt friends. Breakfast is delicious and restaurant for dinner is grate. We made friends with owner and waiter from the restaurant. Good location if you want to visit all main attractions in Slovenia. We definitely will be coming back.

We had a wonderful stay at Hiša Aleš and couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore the beautiful Ljubljana area. The room was perfect for our family—spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The entire property feels exceptionally well planned, with every detail taken care of to make your stay easy and enjoyable. Breakfast was a real highlight each morning—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The peaceful village location gave us a relaxing retreat, yet it was still close to all the sights we wanted to see. Highly recommended!

Incredible small hotel outside of Kranj Slovenia. The room was very clean, well organized. The restaurant was amazing. The chef was outstanding. Our dinner was well presented, portions were perfect. One of the best dinners I have had in a long time. I will definitely book this hotel again. This is a very special property.

We absolutely loved our stay - room was clean, beds were comfy and the breakfast was great! The staff at breakfast were very kind and we felt right at home. The property is beautiful and easy access to drive to Bled. It is expensive if you are not renting a car to get here, about 45 euros. We had rented a car to pick up for the next day, as we had come in via bus late at night, but wish we would have just picked it up straight from the airport before going to hotel. It is quite far out and taxis charge move to come out there. That was our mistake though, and can’t fault the property for that. Our bus was extremely delayed and ended up being very late. They were kind enough to send a detailed whatapp message with how to do a self check in and included photos & videos, it couldn’t have been made any easier! :) We would absolutely recommend this place others. Also a bonus - the property has the absolute sweetest outdoor grey kitten, we wanted nothing more than to take it home with us hahaha we were missing our pets at home and it was so nice to be so loved by the kitty!
