The room was nothing to brag about but the owner more than made up for that he was always available for anything that i need. The pool area was awesome, the landscape around it was tropical and provided shade from the hot sun. I would go back again because of the staff, the pool and residence 10 min walk from the center of where everything happens at night.

Fantastic stay

We were so amazed by the customer service from Aqua Viva Suites. They organized shuttles for us and were incredibly friendly during our stay. The rooms provided a great stay and we used the pool each day, which was great. The location was also perfect as well.

Not that nice

It's very very discount. Pics make it look much nicer than it actually is. Rooms are large enough and clean, but you're stuck right next to the other guests in a tiny courtyard.

Overall, the property is good. It's safe and quiet with good restaurants nearby. However, staff could pay more attention to cleanliness and state of the rooms. We had no bed frame- our bed was a mattress on the floor and the plaster in the walls was cracked. The bathroom and coffee machine were also dirty when we checked in. We loved the staff though- very friendly and helpful!

Great place to stay in Bonaire

Loved this setup. Small business and owner was very nice. He wasn’t there when we got there but quickly returned when we called him. Room was as described and we had everything we needed.

Wonderful family run hotel Always very helpful, giving great suggestions, helped arrange a rental car Comfortable room with refrigerator, coffee maker Lovely outdoor area to sit Short walk to center of town Two excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk We do not dive but had a fabulous time hiking, cycling enjoying the beach If dive there is a dive place next door Aqua Viva is close to Te Amo beach which is the largest sand beach

The owners were most helpful, even driving downtown to show me a particular store. In addition they helped arrange a car afterExpedia messed up. The rooms were adequate and any problem was fixed immediately.

This is a great place to stay. Lovely area by the pool to sit in which offers shade or sun. It is a small resort so you never feel crowded. Comfortable bed with awesome sheets. The big windows, which are one way, make the suite so bright and open. You can easily walk into town from here and there are several restaurants in walking distance as well. Michael the owner is great. He picked us up at our previous accommodation and also took us to the airport when we were leaving Bonaire.

Lovely owner. Choice to be made between aircon blowing down very cold onto the bed, even when set to 25C, or hot with no aircon. There was a mosquito repellent plugged in which we appreciated. There was a coffee maker and fridge. The pool is sweet.

BEST ACCOMMODATIONS, HANDS DOWN

Go ahead and book here! I promise you won't be sorry! This is the best place to stay on Bonaire and an almost-too-good-to-be-true value for the price paid. I stayed in quiet Room 10, and it was super clean with great amenities and free roundtrip shuttle to the airport. The pool was nice with a small cool jetted area of it. And the staff were all so sweet and friendly, very genuine helpful vibe. Later, I stayed somewhere else on the island for two nights, and comparing them, I paid *36% less money* at Aqua Viva Suites than at the other place down the road, and Aqua Viva was a *200% better* experience than them overall.

Good stay

Pleasant stay. The management is fairly fast in response to any maintenance issues with the room of which there were several during our stay. The accommodations are not fancy but the place is clean and fairly quiet and the location is right next to VIP dive which is great. Close enough to the airport, shopping and a few good restaurants makes it a good location for your adventures around Bonaire. The pool is definitely a nice addition to the property for relaxing after your day. A few more esthetic touches in the room would be appreciated to warm it up but the beds were comfortable albeit firm. The pillows should be reassessed as they are too flat for one but too high to sleep on two. Towels were good quality as were the bed linens. The bathroom had a nice shower and plentiful hot water.

If you are seeking a place to stay on Bonaire, away from the bustle of downtown Kralendijk but close enough to walk to beaches, shopping, dining, and diving, Aqua Viva is the perfect choice. It is cozy, with beautiful grounds, lovely, well-appointed accommodations, and an inviting pool with whirlpool and lounge chairs. Missing, however, is any kind of on-site staff. The owners are only available through WhatsApp, not by telephone, and not once did I meet or talk to them or experience their reported hospitality. Lack of on-site staff is known to the locals: local children bike here to use the swimming pool without fear of being chased off the property. The owners’ daughter also views the guest facilities as her family’s private pool, bringing her young children here to run around, shriek, splash, and make the lively pool and sun deck unusable by guests. If you can handle the overrun pool and noisy children, the absence of any owners or management, and the difficulty reaching anyone when assistance is needed, then Aqua Viva is indeed a perfect oasis, complete with coconut palms, mango trees, green-shouldered parrots, and comfortable, island-style accommodations.
