"The location was perfect for exploring Baker St. The staff was very friendly and the room clean although a little on the small side. I will note though that although we enjoyed our stay, I feel they could have offered a free breakfast instead of a $13.95 reduced rate with only three dishes to choose from. For the price you pay for a basic room I don't think that would be unreasonable. The food was fabulous in the restaurant though a little on the pricey side."

"I wasn’t informed it may be necessary to reserve car parking site costing $10 a night. All parking sites were reserved and not available. We had to pay for off hours of city meter parking for overnight parking. "

"We stayed in the overflow property. It was cheap so that is good but it's just rooms. All the amenities are in the main Hotel a few blocks away. The bed was old and I don't like carpets in hotel rooms cuz they always look dirty but the room overall was pretty good and for the price I'd stay there again"

"Was a wonderful place to stay, scenery breathtaking and on site restaurant was a bonus. Very quiet and the property had lovely gardens. Will definitely stay again and very convenient for checking out Nelson."

"We chose the cheapest room rate and I suppose we got what we paid for. Towels stained and thread barren, shower curtain heavily coated with pink mold, all edgings black with muck that could be scrub brushed, walls splattered with all matter and in need of paint, couch was too dirty to sit on."

"Everything about the room and the hallway was old and under maintained. The bathtub was flaking, but the toilet, sink and countertop were OK. The sheets and towels were clean if not rather thin, and there was no blanket to put on the bed; it just had a very thin duvet, and it was winterThe floor was a little gritty with sand and didn’t feel good to walk on. The fridge had been left unplugged and smelled bad so I didn’t use it. I really just needed somewhere to sleep and shower for a couple...

"Rooms were quiet. Great breakfast; lots of protein options! We were in a pet friendly room on ground level and it was very clean. We had a room with 2 doubles and one mattress was collapsing around the edges. I was able to sleep in the middle but if 2 adults were in that bed you might just roll off the side lol. Also found the polyester filled comforters really hot (but menopause is a beast that way HaHa!!) Staff was FANTASTIC! Super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. "

"The room is not clean. There are left over shampoo bottles next to the bathtub. The carpets are dirty. The gym does not have water machine."

"The most outstanding feature of this property is their staff. They were courteous and considerate and even changed our room after we checked in because we did not like the originally assigned room mainly because of where it was situated. I think this is one of the cleanest hotel in its class that i have stayed at. The rooms are spacious clean. If i am ever back in Castlegar, i am definitely staying again."
