"Really wonderful welcoming stay. The room was a bit musty smelling, and there were ants, but this was overshadowed by the managers hospitality. He really went the extra mile - even going to get beers for us as the shops were a bit far away :)"

"Ett bra och fungerade litet hotel nära Udawalewe nationalpark. De fixade ihop hela vår jeep safari med en utmärkt chaufför med kort varsel. Fick en egen jeep som körde runt oss utan stress och under en hel eftermiddag i nationalparken till ett bra pris. Såg många elefanter, fåglar, krokodiler, apor, vattenbuffel, hjort, mm Trevlig personal som ville vårt bästa och som tom. fixade fram några öl genom att skick bud med Tuk-tuk. Suverän service. Enkla men fungerande rum. Bra pool som var härlig...

"My favorite stay in Sri Lanka! Janik, his mum and the friends that help them run Amba Kola are all so kind, warm and welcoming. They make you feel like one of the family! The cooking class was great fun, you're shown how to make a whole array of dishes and you create an absolute feast which you tuck into afterwards! "The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. We also used their in house Safari and the driver / guide was brilliant. Highly recommended."

"We had a fantastic stay at Lizard Safari Lodge. The rooms are clean and well kept, with a nice big bed, mosquito net and fan. Our room had a balcony which was great to sit out on in the late afternoon. Dinner was delicious on both nights of our stay (as was breakfast) with a good selection of food and very generous portion sizes! Nandu could not have been kinder, taking us on a tour of the village and to a local swimming spot on the afternoon of our arrival, and providing snacks and ice creams....
