My friend and I had a lovely 5 night stay at the RaajKutir - Kolkata. All of the staff were extremely helpful in meeting all of our needs including arranging easy and clear airport transport as well as cars to take us around the city and to temples. Our room was beautiful, spacious and very clean and the food was amazing. The hotel staff including Sous Chef - Ankur Halder, Munshi and Mohan Thapa went out of their way to make us feel welcome and expectations exceed. We also had multiple spa services and the spa staff and facilities were excellent. Many thanks! I highly recommend RaajKutir to anyone visiting Kolkata.

I hardly ever write reviews but I felt like I had to for the Raajkutir! Such an absolute gem of a hotel. Unremarkable from the outside, but once you enter the grounds are so beautiful and traditional in style, you can’t quite believe that the hustle and bustle of Kolkata is just the other side of the wall. The rooms are STUNNING, the food delicious, and the staff are falling over themselves to help you. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Raajkutir!

Rustic charm of the property was the head turner. Nestled amidst lush green nature, the property spoke numerous history to tell. Apart from the property, the staff and the management were impressive and really carrying the legacy of Taj. Definitely worth recommending and a must visit place with your loved ones. The Stars of the Stay The level of personalized care we received was extraordinary, specifically thanks to three standout individuals: * Urvija (General Manager): Her leadership shines through every detail of the property. It is rare to see a GM so dedicated to the guest experience, ensuring a seamless and sophisticated stay for everyone. * Krishnakanta: His professionalism and "guest-first" attitude were remarkable. He anticipated our needs before we even spoke them, embodying the very best of the Taj spirit. * Anusree, Ankur, Rohit , Chandan, Aziziil, Shipra were all amazing at the restaurant East India Room. Warm, intuitive, and incredibly helpful, Anusree added a personal touch to our visit that made us feel like family rather than just visitors. 1) Premium Room at courtyard 105 smell's old house dam and spoiled wood as if the never been used for decades, need to pay attention as the room is on a premium pay scale and represents Taj 5 star property. 2) 210 Suits, during upgrading from 105 premium to 210 Suits, checking in was not appropriate:- a) the room was missing with fruits player and sweets plater as we the air conditioning was malfunctioning for more then 5 hours during my stay. 3) front office service, breakfast service and the East restaurant service was outstanding. Staff were very friendly and warm welcoming. a) East Columbus menu was very limited and had a bad experience with Chicken curry was too spicy even after requesting for medium spice level and the Fish Sorsay ilish or bhatki was not up to the mark according to the 5 star Taj standard, overall the property, ambience was the smooth guest service made my made my stay very pleasant and enjoyable.. But will surely go back again to my boost my stay and hope to all this bad remarks may improve. Good luck

The stay was not good due to lack of common sense of the hotel staff. They doesn't extend service as expected from an IHCL 5-Star property. Also found bed-bugs in my premium category room (PFA pics)

This property has so much character, is clean, comfortable and ticks all the boxes at a great price. They even were happy to accommodate special requests including ordering flowers. On the last day we were presented with a cake as a thank you. I would most definitely stay with them again.

The property has a unique combination of old and new Bengali cultural ambience which will be a delight for everyone. The hospitality is exceptional. The restaurant and food selections are excellent. The staff goes above and beyond to provide service to the customers. I will highly recommended this property to everyone. The gym has all the amenities. Did not use the swimming pool and so unable to comment.

A huge shout out to the amazing staff who did a fabulous job of managing the property. Although the amenities were sparse. Just got 1 small bottle of shampoo and body wash in 5 days of stay. Also no mention of other facilities in check in so didn’t know there was a pool till last day of check out.

My stay was excellent. I was visting from the U.S. and I have not been to India in over 13 years. This place is quiet, out of the way of the main street and simply beautiful. I really have no complaints at all. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. I do not give a perfect rating because we all have room to make improvment on anything. However I will be staying here again and it was a great affordable stay.
