The hotel was a welcome relief in the city, as the swimming pool area was nice and it was great to have the bar (with a 24 hour option for the hardcore people out there). It was great to have the option of in-room dining also.

Great stay in the hotel

The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and our waiter Nasir was outstanding in his service. The man who cleaned our room even folded my clothes. I would highly recommend this hotel

This was not our first trip to the Novotel. As a family of 5 we are looking for amenities, convenience, cleanliness, and value. And I must say that Novotel is 5 stars in all o these categories. I especially appreciate the friendliness of the staff. There is not a hotel in the world in this price range, in my humble experience, that can compare with Novotel Kolkata. We will definitely stay again.

Been at the hotel on my Girlfriends birthday and she was very happy with the room type . Had booked an Apartment with some of the best views one can find in Kolkata. Will be surely visiting again on my Birthday this September and more occasions to come in future . .

Very good hotel away from busting city of Kolkata

Very good hotel, very friendly staff, very clean throughout, check-in and check-out was easy, room was good, enough toiletries in the bathroom. But the hotel authority needs to accommodate more seats around the reception areas, lots of people came early check-in, so not enough available seats around or occupied by other customers. People either standing or roaming around the coffee shop.

Comfortable stay

Had booked multiple rooms with family. Good hotel, comfortable rooms. Staff polite and very obliging. However, on several occasions the room service and requests took a long time to be fulfilled and at times not fulfilled at all. Breakfast was very good, but the live action items were very slow and once again on several occasions our orders did not come through and had to be chased a few times. Overall a comfortable and good stay. Management should work on looking at speeding up some service requests.

"Lounge Access" Needs Clearer Explanation

The hotel staff are exceptionally well-trained, truly living up to the reputation of the Novotel brand. However, I have one point to mention. I opted for the lounge access plan, assuming it would grant access to a typical business lounge on an upper floor during the day. In reality, the plan provides complimentary access to the bar lounge on the first floor during the 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM happy hour. Since the lounge often reaches full capacity, I believe this requires clearer explanation.
