"A nice stay! The staff were very friendly and upgraded us to the king suite/second floor and it was very nice! Amazing and big kitchen/suite area. Lots of space. Bathroom was also pretty good. No central AC but they did have an AC unit was right next to the bed which can be hard to sleep next to when its on. Not a hotel but a very nice inn! I also appreciate the breakfast and happy hour food/drinks."

"We chose this hotel very last minute and we found a hidden gem! Location is excellent, literally 3 minutes walking distance from the beach. We absolutely loved the Spanish revival interior (floors and doors are gorgeous!), and the delicious breakfast! We just left but we are already planning our next trip to Santa Barbara to stay at this amazing hotel!"

"Beware if you prepay in Expedia they not only put a incidental $150 hold on your card, which is expected, but also a $375 that nobody told me about nor could explain why it was “authorized “ even though the room was fully paid for. The only explanation is “oh it automatically placed when it prepaid “ ….for what? Im still not convinced it’s a hold that will come off in the week or two . Glad I don’t need that $375 anytime soon."

"What an amazing, peaceful stay at Simpson House! The staff was wonderful, making us feel extra special for our anniversary. They gave us helpful recommendations and were just so nice and wonderful. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. It’s like your staying in the middle of magical garden. It’s also walking distance to State St shops and restaurants. 5 stars all the way!"

"This was our second stay at Pali House Santa Barbara. It’s our favorite place to stay! I would have given this most recent stay 5 stars except we were not told there was a wedding reception happening the one night we were there which included closing the entire patio area. There was quite a bit of noise/music but I will give the hotel credit for ensuring the music went off at 10:00pm. Other than that, we had an amazing time! Will stay again."
