I’ve been traveling for 12+ years and have never experienced anything like this. From the moment we arrived at Deva Beach Resort, the receptionist was cold and unhelpful. We asked for a paid upgrade—she refused, claiming nothing was available, even though I saw rooms online. Only the next day, she said.
The room was disgusting: dried stains on the walls, black pillows, and a filthy bathroom. Our luggage was delayed, so we had nothing with us. We asked for toothbrushes and bathrobes—she said the resort doesn’t offer them. I asked for the manager—she claimed there isn’t one, only a CEO, and refused to give any contact. She wouldn't even share her name.
She didn’t explain anything—no info about breakfast or facilities. When I asked where breakfast was, she just said, “Walk ahead and you’ll find it.”
After 3 hours of arguing, a “new room” magically appeared—for 100€ more. This one had everything we asked for earlier, proving she lied. The next day, she laughed in our faces as we passed reception.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any hotel, let alone a resort. Avoid Deva Beach Resort at all costs. It completely ruined the start of our vacation.
