The best hotel on LongSet Beach, unusually modern, lux looking finishes and sound proof rooms, small road into village between seafront rooms and beach but not a problem at all. You cannot see into the rooms. Interior rooms nicely located.

Stunning beach location. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Nice quiet rooms and good airconditioning. Great place to do as little or as much as you like while on the lovely Koh Rong island. Can hire scooter, get a tuk tuk, water activities etc. Lots of places nearby to eat/drink. No hassling from any hawkers and staff very easygoing.

Hotel is great !! Staff are very welcoming & helpful. Especially SREY. She is wonderful. 3 pools on the premises are very nice & never busy. Beach is the best on the island. Don’t bother driving around the island, We done it & thought I was a right old Ben Gazzi. Total waste of time. This hotel will not let you down. The BBQ they offer is very good. Thanks James.

Life’s a beach

I was staying in Phnom Penh, but the resort organised a car to drive me to the jetty, sent me links to book my ferry ride, and had someone welcome me at the pier. Very warm and helpful staff. The property itself is right on the beach, with a bunch of private sun beds and water activities to choose from. The rooms were great — I had a pool facing villa which was delightful.

BEAUTIFUL! Our Mountain View Apartment was perfect for our family of four. An added bonus was our own personal jacuzzi out on the deck with a view of the lush greenery. Food at hotel was delicious. The beach was just a short walk. Beautiful white soft sand and refreshing water.

Beautiful Resort steps away from best swimming

Amazing, going home and thinking how soon can I get back here? A small village and port but a great resort if you want to eat good food that’s reasonably priced and swim in the Gulf of Thailand all day long. Our villa faced the ocean and while I didn’t Actually count the steps it was so close from door to ocean and we loved it so much. We had a fabulous time. Highly recommend GOLDEN BEACH RESORT.

I would absolutely stay here again. The property is beautiful, the beach is seconds away, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. There are daily activities for free such as snorkeling, stretching, butterfly hikes. Also loved the massage on the beach! Restaurant had great food and we were obsessed with the fresh fruit juices and fruit shakes. We have sensitive stomachs but didn't have any issues eating here! :) We had a small problem with the shower in our hut, but as soon as we mentioned it to reception, maintenance was sent over and immediately addressed the issue. Overall 10/10 would recommend!

My husband and I stayed in their beachview room for three nights. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the reviews. The beds are very comfortable! The beachview rooms do have a busy road between the rooms and the road. The hotel is only a few blocks from the ferry pier so there is lots of foot and motorbike traffic. The upside is the rooms block out most of the noise and the huge glass doors facing the beach are tinted/reflective so people can't see into the room. We loved being able to look at the ocean and people watch without feeling like we're on display. The restaurant had seating on the beach which was beautiful! However the service is very slow and food arrived in an odd order, often the main meal first, drinks, and then starters. Sometimes it came out correctly, but not often. Each meal was usually accompanied by someone playing music on their phone, watching videos without ear buds, and having conversations on speaker phone. A guest asked a hotel staff member to intervene but they chose not to. It's just people being people but it got pretty annoying at every meal. I highly suggest renting scooters (we discovered it was cheaper next door when the hotel ran out) to cruise around the island and doing the bioluminescent plankton boat tour!!

This hotel was perfect for a beach getaway in Soksan. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Mountain View apartment, which was a bit removed from some of the communal spaces in the property which provided quiet. To access the beach you simply cross the street in front of the property. The included breakfast is substantial and extremely fresh. We also enjoyed multiple dinners on the property and found the staff friendly (shout out to Tony) and the food to be fair priced and tasty. I would definitely return and recommend the resort!
