If you can, try to get your open water scuba certification on the island. "A fantastic place to stay. The staff are great, the location is amazing and the pool is one of the best of any hotel I have ever stayed at. It is also great that all the equipment for water activities is free to use - kayaks, paddle boards etc. My only advice is to check the weather carefully before you go as there is not a lot to do here (or on koh lipe in general) when the weather is bad. "
