"We really enjoyed our stay in the villa. It was lovely and spacious, beds were comfortable and the location was excellent, close enough to the excitement without having to hear any of it. Poorna is very friendly and communicative and they did a great job with our laundry. We saw a mongoose in the yard whilst we were there in addition to the very cute dog that lives there. No air con which was fine but also the windows don't have fly screens on them so we were a bit reluctant to leave them open...

"We had the BEST time at Ella Retreat! Sadly on 34 hours long but this hotel is seriously beautiful, better than the pictures. You need a head for heights on the (slightly hairy) tuk tuk ride up the mountain, but once you're there this is a haven that you simply cannot afford to miss on your trip to Sri Lanka. "A really lovely accommodation with the most incredible views. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony so you wake up to a view of the mountails The host Priyanatha is so warm, welcoming and always available to help. Breakfast was lovely (especially the hoppers). A short walk (or tuk tuk) into town. Loved my stay here! Thank you!"

"Très bel hôtel sur les hauteurs de la ville, personnel serviable. Magnifique vue sur les montagnes. Chambre avec belle terrasse Un peu éloigné de la ville, il faut prendre un tuktuk, cependant l'hôtel nous a proposé leur service. Et la ville est très animée et très sympa. "

"An amazing experience, sleeping in the canopy of the forest. We saw lots of animals and fireflies at night. Accommodation is basic as you would expect but beds and bathroom were clean. Ella is a 5-10 minute walk away via the railway tracks. Route was easy to find as directed by our host. Breakfast was delicious and filling."

"This place is magical! Truly a stay in the jungle. There’s no road to the cabin so the last part you have to walk on the railway. However the staff were really helpful and carried our suitcases the whole way - so do recommend to pack lightly. The place was amazing and the staff were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend! "

"Misty Hills is located in the most picturesque part of Ella, to walk up to breath taking views of Ella Rock and Little Adams Peak is amazing. High recommended, staff and facilities were excellent. Special mention to Pannier who service was excellent. Thank you"

"Great location, right next to the Main Street where all the restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is more of a guest house. Rooms are very basic - but very large. Can easily accommodate 4 people. Breakfast is either sri-lanken or western, they are very generous with the quantities. If you are looking for a 4/5 star hotel - it’s not the place for you. It is a low budget option for families who prefer that kind of experience. We enjoyed :)"

"굉장한 숙소였습니다. 사장님 부부가 굉장히 친절하게 이래저래 많은 것들을 알려주시고, 조식은 맛있게 준비해주십니다. 과일 차 토스트 계란이지만, 항상 만족스럽게 먹었습니다. 뷰도 사진과 같고, 엘라 자체가 고지대기 때문에, 더위를 많이 타는 저도 에어컨 없이도 충분히 지낼 수 있습니다. 얼떨결에 일박을 더 했지만, 충분히 그럴 가치가 있는 곳이라고 생각합니다. 숙소로 올라가는 길이 계단이기 때문에, 캐리어를 들고 가는건 힘들 수도 있을 것 같습니다. 저는 백팩이라 큰 문제가 없었는데요. "
