We had a great stay here. We've stayed at other Howard Johnson properties and I think this was the best one. Stylish room, immaculately clean room and front office, and a nice comfy bed. We appreciated the free coffee machine in the office and the many pamphlets and guides to the city and its activities. A particular standout was Pam at the front desk. She was delightful, personable, helpful, cheerful, and warm. We felt like we were being greeted by family. A gem of a person.

The staff here are phenomenal and honestly that meant the world and more to me and my family. We had a family emergency and needed a last minute hotel and Sagar and Pamela made a really hard situation stress free for checking in and out. 10/10 recommend this location. Thank you

This property is undergoing renovations and although not complete this didn't affect our stay. The property was full when we were there but oh so quiet and peaceful. Pam at front desk was so very helpful and welcoming

Pam at the front desk was wonderful. She really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and properly accommodated. Parking was free and very close to our room. The room was clean. No complaints really!

Location is very accessible and in the heart of the City. The room was clean and tidy, everything you need is available, the extra sink outside the bathroom is a bonus, and I like that we are able to park just outside our room. Its so convenient to load and unload our stuff. The free coffee and tea is a plus too! I will definitely go back here when I'm in Kingston.

This motel deserves more stars than the current online score. It is clean, staff are very helpful and pleasant to talk to. The location is also good, it is close to the downtown (too far for a walk but close by a car. It is easy access from the main road, but it is enough distance to be quiet. Our room with two queen beds had a fridge, microwave and two sinks, one in the bathroom and one kitchenette. The motel doesn't have a breakfast included, but has an excelent coffee and juicees at all time.

They advertise in bio that they offer free coffee and tea, what they don’t ( and should say!) is that they also offer complimentary slush puppies, juice, and hot chocolate! The machine is actually very nice. I had a lot of fun using it. This was a small, but very sweet gesture. I genuinely really enjoyed the free drinks. Nothing like sipping warm hot chocolate when it’s cold out. The lobby was very clean and comfortable. Just warm vibes all around. The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were excellent. Probably some of the friendliest I've experienced at any hotel. I will also say this was an excellent "motel". It is most certainly dated but the renovations are a nice update to hide (some) of the motel's age. Unfortunately, I inadvertently travelled during peak time. People around Kingston kept asking if we were dropping out kids at university and the motel staff said they were sold out for a military event. Paying $279 for one night in this motel is bonkers, but I don't blame Howard Johnson for that. It's just the date I needed to be there for an event myself. The free charging for my electric car helped reduce that sting.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in/out was quick and easy. There was some pavement near the stairs that was cracked. The room is a little dated but overall it was clean and good space. Bed was comfortable but heat/air conditioner very noisy, fortunately didn't need it. The remote or the tv was sticky....not sure if it is from cleaning supplies. They had a little coffee spot in the front lobby that was awesome and there was also juice and slush puppies, which was a nice addition. Parking was plentiful, but there speed bump is really high for my car which is low to the ground so had to go extra slow over it. It was hard to find at night and seemed a little sketchy but the location was good and I had no issues as a solo traveller. Would recommend.

Really nice and clean hotel and very convenient for our stopover in Kingston. Hotel has clearly been recently renovated, the free drinks in reception was a welcome addition. The highlight to our stay was Pat the duty manager on reception. She was unbelievably kind, friendly and helpful and definitely made our stay more enjoyable. She went above and beyond at check in and check out. Would happily stay again.

When you get there, Pam at the front desk couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The room was pretty clean. Any staff we met were very friendly. We wondered if the area itself was a bit iffy, but once settled in, we felt safe and walked all over the place, day and night. It's located on Princess Street, which is VERY handy for driving downtown and getting around. There are also many stores that one might want, on Princess Street; Loblaws, Canadian Tire, Timmys, Subway, LCBO, Shoppers Drug Mart - all close by. The only reason I gave 4 stars for a couple of things was because this Howard Johnson was under renovations, so the pool wasn't open and some things were getting a well needed sprucing up. Over all, a good place to stay for the price.
