"The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, by the side of the river, close to the entrance of the park and the dam. It is also surrounded by a few good restaurants, within a 5-10-minute drive. The owner offered an upgrade to a room with A/C on arrival for a little extra. She was also very helpful with transportation time tables and activity bookings. As expected, the room was a bit rustic but clean and functional. The mattress was stiff, even for Thailand. I straighten my back the first night. All good after that. I would definitely stay again at the Bansuanphutarn on my next visit to this beautiful place! "

"The view of the mountains is nice and the pool was good. Just things to note: both nights I was there they had live music until 10 pm which I could hear from my room. You have to take your key with you which turns off all of the power so my room was always hot when I returned because the A/C had not been running. I had wifi issues that had to be fixed twice. I did not receive any housekeeping service for an 2 night stay. Overall I would classify my stay as “not bad”. "

"Not happy. We booked this hotel as it was close to the Kao Sok National Park. Our flight to Surat Thani was delayed for 1hour which meant we would miss the check-in time. We tried to get in touch with the hotel hours in advance however nobody bothered to pick up the phone, nor could we find a contact email. As a result we had to book a hotel elsewhere in the main city which meant we also travel 1.5hrs each way before and after the day trip. Paid for a room I didn’t even get to use"

"Beautiful resort in an excellent location on lake for views, swimming & tours. Swim right from your deck. Staff was wonderful and so friendly and helpful. Chef is incredible! Accommodated our pescatarian diet and enjoyed best food of our trip. Plentiful and delicious. Guide on our boat and cave tours was fun and informative. We got lucky and saw wild elephants and lots of monkeys. So glad we stayed 2 nights to really enjoy this special place. Hope we can come back again someday!"

"Staff was great, the rooms were spaciouse and thr pool fantastic. The problem was the water in the showers and sink smelled like bleech or chlorine and you couldn't take a shower or brush your teeth wwithout tearing. It was a struggle. Also the rstaurant wasn't amazing. Better to eat across the street."
