"We got one bedroom apartment. The smell of toilets and sewage was very annoying. I asked them to change the apartment but they did not accept for four days."

Toilet unusable for a normal size person, the sink blocks you from sitting down (my wife was able to squeeze in diagonally). "I suppose the kindest thing to say is that The Monkey Room is a "work in progress". The hotel/hostal is right in the centre of Marbella Old Town and although it sets out in adverts to be "chic" and "cool" it has a long way to go. While I was there a workman was on site preparing another cubby hole as a bedroom and I think my room was only half-finished. The nights were cold and only a single sheet covered the bed and, after moving my room to the one in the photo (instead of on the roof) I found...

"We checked in and the front desk staff were so friendly and hospitable. Made it quick and smooth. The room was very clean, a little smaller then i had expected but didn't impact our stay. air conditioned and also had a balcony to sit on. location was great 5 mins to the beach, behind the hotel lots of little lanes with restaurants galore. pool area was small and the sun beds are taken up very quickly so be prepared but tbh the beach is def the better option.
