"This was our first stop on a month long vacation in Fiji and Australia. We loved this resort. If you are looking for a nice beach, maybe look at some of the island properties instead. But this resort was great for a quiet start to our vacation. The villas were under a major renovation but even then the stay was nice."

"The Fiji Orchid is a lovely relaxed hotel with 6 villas tucked amongst lush greens. The staff are incredibly warm and helpful. There is no useable beach nearby and you need a vehicle to go anywhere off the property but it’s near 2 towns and several attractions. There is always someone available to drive you. It’s very convenient to the airport so it’s a good choice for a few nights on the big island. "

"We arrived on the last boat so it was dark and I couldn't fully grasp the resort and its layout. Thankfully the light of day made it so much better. The pool is large and warm and never over crowded. Its more of a grownup resort as the one next door caters to families. The air con in the rooms does its job but make sure you keep your wooden blinds closed! There aren't any glass on windows just screens and wooden slats. Garden bure was spacious and cleaned daily. We loved the free daily boat trip...
