An excellent find! Communication with Ariadni was friendly and efficient. We arrived late on Friday and the caretakers were waiting to welcome us. The villa had everything we needed, clean decent sized rooms, great patio area with blackout shutters for sleeping and kitchen facilities for breakfast and quick meals. The views of the hills from the veranda was fantastic and the second patio at the back in the shade was a bonus! Swimming pool a good size and depth and there were plenty of sun lounges and parasols for guests. There was even an outside ashower, a drying rack for swimsuits and they provided swim towels. The caretaker and her husband were friendly and visited and cleaned every day. There's a supermarket at the bottom of the gate, a pool bar which served food across the road and was where we watched the World Cup matches! Five minutes further down the road you'll find a bakery/cafe serving delicious pastries, pancakes, frappe and our daily caffeine shots. Next to it was a really good restaurant for lunch/dinner which we visited twice.
The villa was 10-15 minutes walk to a lovely, sandy beach with gentle, shallow, warm waters to start with. There's also a string of very good restaurants next to the beach - from simple Greek dishes, grills and seafood ones. There's cocktails bars, tavernas and ice cream too! €20 taxi ride away to Skala if you want to get away or there's a car hire company across the road. Cold water in fridge would be a great welcome for guests!
