"This place is close to everything and far enough away to not be affected by the busyness that is Lead and Deadwood. I love being near the woods and mountains but where it is quiet and peaceful. This is a no frills, down to earth kind of place and I love it! "

"Stamphill is in an old boarding house. Rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator which can be tricky if you have mobility issues. The room was clean and spacious. Bob, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and saloon below the room were both good. Especially after a long drive when you don’t want to go very far to eat. "

The room was perfect and we were able to walk 3 directions to get to anything we wanted to do, the 4th side backs up to the mountains and nature."

"Beautiful property near waterfalls in Spearfish Canyon. Huge, rustic and, inviting common area with enormous rock fireplace. Free coffee bar and bar serving food in lobby. Nice restaurant across the street. Prompt and easy housekeeping requests met. Very nice and helpful front desk staff and housekeeping. Quiet, clean, and nice rooms. Would love to visit again. "
