Treat yourself and drive to the Virginia Settlement for dining just a few minutes up the road. Food was very good. The places in walking distance for dining were not great"

"Unique, cozy, beautiful views, and forced/friendly interaction with other guests enjoying outdoor spaces set up to enjoy the sunrise/sunset. Ideally located, the lodge is a surprise gem for a place so close to the highway. The sprinklers however detracted from our stay with an alarming and hard to identify noise in the middle of the night, waking us up by hitting part of the window or the AC unit. Sleep is important!"
