"If you arrive in Warsaw by train or plane and take a taxi to your hotel, please check that the drivers fare meter is turned back to zero. There is no issue with most honest taxi drivers but there are dishonest ones that do not disconnect the prior fare and leave it running then charge you twice or even triple the actual fare you should pay as a tourist. We found this practise is prevalent in other countries."
