I booked and paid through Expedia, but when I arrived to check in, the person at the front desk immediately said “no locals” in a rude and dismissive tone. If this hotel refuses local guests, that policy should be clearly stated on both Expedia and the hotel’s own website before anyone books and pays. "Great new hotel. Good amenities, fabulous breakfast, good parking, only negative was because the hotel is new the room had a very strong paint smell."

However, I was disappointed to discover after my stay that the hotel offers an $11 food and beverage credit per room, which was not communicated to us during the check-in process.
