"I have not been to many properties in Matheran, but I would say this is an ideal property for a fun vacation it is located over from the hustle and bustle of the city and you feel like you’re in the quiet hills cottage.
The property is old, but very well preserved and staff is very courteous and very helpful. It is just an amazing fun to sit in the morning or in the evening at the swing and listen to the birds chirping.

"Hotel environment outside quite dirty and rats all over. Rooms are very clean but the aminities are very poor for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was super good and lots of varieties overall the staff are very nice and helpful. Want to go back on my next trip to india

I'd choose the less expensive Tower rooms that give you the same experience as the older historic building.
