Preah Vihear is a temple built by the great Khmer Empire and dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Situated in the northern most part of Cambodia and perched on a mountain bordering Thailand. Because of its present location there have been numerous skirmishes between the two countries trying to lay claim to it. In 2008 the temple was designated a UNESCO world heritage site for Cambodia.

The ancient pool at Preah Vihear Temple. Back in the day it was used as a place to bathe before spiritual ceremonies and the water is still considered holy. You will see from time to time locals coming by to rinse their faces with this water for good luck. Or some would even bottled it for drinking.

Good and close to Uni
Close to Ubon Uni. Rooms for 3k baht a month. Very friendly staff. An apt that hàs rooms for daily rent. Room was a bit musty but cleared up after a/c ran. Some chill ants, small. Happens. No real bother. Very comfy bed and quiet efficient a/c. little porch area. No elevator. Was on floor 2.
