"After reading other reviews and looking at pictures, we were very disappointed by our stay here. Upon arrival at the property, we had to wait to be greeted. When We walked into the property, all of the curtains were shut, and it was very dark and had a strange vibe. When we were shown to our room, it was in a bleak state. "This is an excellent property at a beautiful location with great views. The breakfast I had here was one of the better ones I had in SL. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only thing I will mention is getting to this place is through a km of very narrow hilly road. Trust your driver and hopefully you do not have too big of a car. Once you get here, the view and the resort is worth it. Minimize the up and down trips to city of Kandy from here if you can and spend more time at resort."

"We stayed in the Riverdale Bungalow for 4 nights. This bungalow is across town from the main hotel. The bungalow was gorgeous, clean and had lots of amenities. We were just a couple using the main bedroom, but there is a second room with 2 single beds so a family could stay here. The private pool, big porch and side garden were all for our use and beautiful. The view from up there does not get any better. We visited many places in Kandy, and this one had the best view. Very peaceful to relax by the pool and watch nature go by. Delicous Breakfast was made to order every morning on the porch so we got to watch the birds and monkeys go by. Bandana the butler and the Chef made the stay perfect and personalised for us, the curry dinner was the best meal we had in Kandy."

"Feel cheated by both the Expedia as have done booking for 4 and taken half course which is break fast and one meal where as the voucher shows only for 2 adults. The worst part is property manager knew that the voucher had written 2 but they didn’t inform us that the meals are there for 2 only and when we checked out raised a bill for meals of $140 whereas I paid $80 already for the same . Wasted almost an hour and later have to pay $100 extra . Really sad part, it’s not about money but the conduct."
