"The room was clean and the staff were welcoming. However, the surrounding area lacked basic amenities and infrastructure. It felt almost deserted, with most restaurants and shops closed. Although the Hanok Village was within walking distance, the journey was somewhat long, and upon arrival, the area was unusually quiet—giving it a somewhat ghost-town atmosphere."
"It was a wonderful stay. The place is perfectly maintained; it’s a lovely, typical (as I understand) hanok. The person who checks you in, I’m guessing the owner, is wonderful.
I had a great sleep. The homemade tea and breakfast were incredible. Location-wise, it’s right there — the village is not big, and this stay is right on the main street.
I loved every minute of my stay here.
Thanks, Mr. B!"
"You have to self check in. I was lucky 2 local ladies helped me. One of them called the reception and the receptionist just gave the lady the padlock numbers to open my room door. And the walkway outside the room is muddy. Not a well maintain hanok. This is not the first hanok I stayed in Jeonju. I will not come back to this hanok again. "
"This is an old Korean-style, and it will ne a truly memorable experience. Instead of Western-style elevated beds, guests sleep on traditional layered floor pads over a warm heated floor—comfortable, cozy, and an authentic touch of Korean culture. The morning Korean-style breakfast should include fresh fruit, rice cakes, and boiled eggs. It was simple but delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, a unique and unforgettable stay that I would gladly recommend to anyone looking to experience traditional Korean living."
"We had a nice stay here… the owner was there to greet us when we arrived to check in, and even though we were early, he had our room ready and allowed us to check in early. He was friendly and even gave us a few recommendations of where to visit while we stayed.
We stayed in a traditional ondol room, so it was nostalgic for me, having grown up in Jeonju, but if you’re not accustomed to sleeping on the floor, you might want to opt for a room that has a bed.
We loved the location since it was located within the tourist area, so there were plenty of shopping and dining options, all within walking distance. We’ll definitely consider staying here again if we visit Jeonju in the future."
