Hotel closed.

The hotel was closed for renovation when I arrived. This caused me considerable stress. Eventually I found out the the Speke Hotel was owned by the same company and they gave me accommodation. PLEASE remove the Tourist Hotel from your list until it is open again.

One of the most god aweful hotels ive ever stayed

It was terrible! Terrible! The bed was just a matress, the room was more like a shed house, there was virtualy no windows. It smelled, the next day i ran for my health! Do not stay here unless your wanted by the FBI or any government agency !

Wildlife in Africa

Confusion on arrival as confirmation had been received from another agency not hotel.com. So0rted out without difficulty.Staff very helpful.Room left much to be desired and eventually the bed bugs won and I was moved.

ミニバスターミナル付近と市場付近にあり、 場所は良いです。 レストランのみ、WIFIあり便利です。 ホテルは目立ちますが、入口はわかりにくいです。 その分、ガードマンがいてセキュリティはシッカリしてます。

En forfærdelig larm, døgnet rundt fra markedet.

Det var meget svært at få sovet. Om morgenen kl. 4-5 begyndte markedet at åbne og støjen steg langsomt i styrke. Om natten var der larm fra lastbiler der lossede varer til markedet. Værelsesstanden afveg betydeligt fra billederne i kataloget. Værelset var noget mere slidt.

All that glitter is not gold.

The advert on the net are far from reality. The rooms are so small that you cannot even stretch yourself. No air con. No hot water in the bathroom in day time. during night it is just lukewarm. So Called white Towel had become pale and treads were showing out. The palce is just next to the vegetable market where one cannot sleep the whole night due to the noise. The plumming work is of the most inferior quality even the toilet sheet had crack. Other facilities like sauna, steam, gym are a total lie. On enquiry about these facilities it was told that one can utilize these facilities in other sister concern called Dolfin suits which takes almost 30 mins drive by taxy and 30000 UGX. Over all the stay was anti climax.

Not a star Hotel just a Lodge!

Its located middle of a very busy market in Kampala City and too much traffic. Needs to take care your mobile, cash etc. my friend in uganda shifted us to another hotel in very next day. you will get lot of other hotels cheaper and far better than this but do not have online booking it seems // other than that its okay.

Take care of your stuff

My client in Uganda insisted and canceled my booking in tourist hotel. He said theft is a regular event here, your stuff is not safe here, he changed my hotel and paid my cancellation fee, he was that scared.

Hotel in a crowded noisy viccinity.

The hotel management was very rude and lacked any bit of courtesy. Incosiderate and Shylock. I had to check out on 2nd day to another hotel where I enjoyed great customer service & exquisite facilities.

Poorly managed with no focus on customer care.

Arrived at 5.30 am from airport and manager charged me full rate instead of half rate , I insisted on refund. Food was poor and there was no hot water supplied. Room was drab. On 2 occasions , manager said there was no change available and they would owe me - I stood my ground and surprise surprise change was provided. I could not wait to get out - I moved to another hotel even though I had already paid to stay in TH for the same night. Even then , they said they had undercharged me $5 for the night I did not stay and security at door held me up until I paid. Staff tried but were the victims of very poor management / ownership. You get what you pay for - you get even less with this hotel.

Very average hotel just ok for broke student

Hotel was ok, I was broke. So not much choice. Not my best hotel neither my worst. If you are broke or low budget, perfect hotel for you. Its downtown easy access to everything. But it is also opposite to a market.

enjoyed the meal and proximity however being close to the market means the traffic never stops
