"Beautiful apartment. Well appointed. Clean. Very comfortable. Excellent bed. Great location. Only problem was a major storm rolled in while we were there. All activities were closed. You couldn’t get in or out of Kaikoura. So keep an eye on the weather if you go in winter."

"A property that is full of character and a wonderful staff makes this a great place to stay. For 2 nights, I stayed in a courtyard room which was perfect as a solo traveler. The room was warm and cozy which is saying a lot for a North American traveler visiting NZ in the wintertime. John and Deb were always around to answer my questions. I had a car so it was easy to visit all the little shops and tour companies further down the street. In my room I had a refrigerator and a well stocked drink...

"A great location for views of the mountains and sea. The living area of the house is very spacious. Comfortable beds and ample heating for the colder weather. Care is needed backing out onto the main road. (Small cars can turn at the top of the drive.) Hostess was very good at communicating before, during and after our stay. responsive"
