The property is right on the north bank of the Orange River, and offers fantastic views and of course Augrabies National Park. The staff is friendly and informative. We got excellent information from them on the history and economy of the region and on how to access the Riemvasmaak hot springs, including by the spectacular route to its west (4x4 only) through the Vredensvallei canyon.

Outstanding Orange River

Our second visit to Khamkiri - very good experience on both occasions. Great setting on Orange River. Good service & good menu selection for drinks & meals on the deck overlooking the river.

The location of the resort right on the Orange river was great with our tent unit on the river bank. The amenities inside the tent as well as the main reception and restaurant/bar area is a very relaxing vibe with huge screen tv's in 2 areas for sport lovers.

Great Experience

We spent 2 nights in the luxury tented accomodation. The setting on the river is the best you could ask for. Drinks and meals on the deck overlooking the river from a wide selection on the menu and at reasonable prices. Service from Werner and his staff was exceptional. Highly recommended.

Very special place !

The tented accommodation with a private bathroom and outside kitchen is beautifully furnished and equipped. The bar area and terrace has stunning views over the Orange River. A really special spot - definitely a place to stop longer than one night.

Great area to stay when visiting the Augrabies

Great location, service and staff. Clearly signposted and well maintained dirt road to the venue. Staff extremely well knowledged and accommodating. Accommodation comfortable for short stay though the thatch roof in our unit required servicing as an excessive amount of bugs but to be expected given the outdoors nature of the venue and no fault of the owners. However units are fully air conditioned and clean. Lighting could be better outside the units. The roads inside the site are well demarcated and have swimming pools and outdoor activities within season. Close enough to Augrabies Falls which was the main reason for our visit. Would visit again if in the area. Lots of other surrounding areas of interest if there was time to visit. For campers there are serviced tent sites and ablution blocks and also tented camp sites that are permanent with own ablutions.

Lovely self catering accommodation on the river. Very clean tent with all crockery, cutlery and storage containers needed. Downside was the pool that needed a good clean. We requested a specific chalet 3 months in advance which reservations confirmed only to get there and find they’d given it to someone else on arrival. All in all, a beautiful camp.

You HAVE to visit Khamkirri

Utterly amazing and highly recommended for a peaceful breakaway. Rest and relax on the shore of the Orange River, far away from the hustle and bustle but with good accessibility and lots to do in the area.

Khamkirri is a beautiful place. The chalets are beautiful. The food at their restaurant are delicious. The terrain are well kept. There is a lot of activities to keep you busy and show you the beautiful surroundings. We stayed in the tent houses. It was clean. Unfortunately the zips of the tents did not work, which made it impossible to keep out creepy crawlies. It was a beautiful place to stay while visiting the Northen Cape.
