"This hotel is a ten-minute walk from the center of Juneau. We appreciated the washer/dryer and complimentary detergent. Also, they provided a shuttle from the Juneau airport to the hotel and, just as handy, a shuttle to our cruise offices so we didn’t have to drag our suitcases there or hire another car. Everyone there is friendly and helpful; the beds are comfortable; and the rooms clean. The hotel is a little dated; they don’t have blackout shades; and noise from nearby streets was slightly annoying in that we couldn’t open the windows when we slept. Still, great price & amenities. Recommend you stay here, but bring eye shades & ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper and want the window/s opened."
"From check in to checkout our experience there was phenomenal. They were super receptive on the phone to answer questions about their shuttle service. We even had to do a very early morning shuttle at 3 AM for our flight and they accommodated that early time AND included offering us homemade breakfast burritos to take with us because we would be missing the continental breakfast. They had an enormous assortment of snacks and fresh fruit offering bottles of water and free coffee and tea for the entire day as well. We ordered takeout food for dinner and she provided us with plates, napkins, and utensils to enjoy that in the dining room. It was lovely to sit on the front porch and just watch cars go by as well as I could hear bald eagles in the background and ravens in the trees. Beautiful property very clean and probably the best place I’ve ever stayed."
"This hotel is easy walking distance from Juneau Airport. We said one night for a rest between flights. Even though I had read reviews that this place was not good, I must say that the owners have definitely given it an upgrade and I would definitely return here again for a one or two night stay. It is easy walking distance to a great Thai restaurant too!"
"Ok. This is not a 5 star hotel. Remember, if you’re going to Alaska, it’s mostly going to be rugged. This is a rugged hotel. Old amenities but I wasn’t expecting much. Bed was comfy. We had fans to drone out noise. Used the kitchenette to cook a little. The woman at the front desk was so nice and helpful— connected us with a great driver Cathy to get around and to learn about Juneau, find a local grocery store, and make recommendations of where to go. My 8 year old daughter and I had a great trip."
