"Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Room was clean, Hotel was clean. We didn’t use the pool because we came for the beach but from my view from the room the pool also looked clean and well kept. The location of the hotel was perfect, just one block from the boardwalk. Check in was fast and seamless. Front desk was friendly. This was first time in Ocean City and most definitely will come back and will stay at the Gateway!"

"This was my family and I second time staying here and it did not disappoint. Room was clean anna spacious and being directly on the boardwalk was a plus. We enjoyed the beach which is directly in front of the hotel. I will be back again next yr for sure."

"Room was clean and well kept. Parking is first come on their hotel lot, otherwise you have to park a block away at their satellite lot. Elevators are a bit slow and stuffy."

"I booked a room for my daughter for a week, as our hotel (Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel one block down) didn't accept cats (dogs only). She has two friendly, oversized cats. My daughter had stayed there before. She really likes the hotel. The manager at the front desk was very nice. I checked out her spacious room, which was great! She had two beds in the room. The one bed she covered with an old sheet that she brought. This was where the cats slept. Her cats settled in comfortably, and so did...

"Everything was easy to use and the location was great, the walls are thin so the upstairs guest kept us up for a lot of the night running around."

"For the price it was, it was exactly what i expected. everything was kind of clean for the most part BUT, there were hairs on the pillows and bed. Miscellaneous spots on the sheets and on the shower curtain. The bathroom sink hot water nob was completely broke. I turned it on and it fell off.. it seems they just throw it back on and call it a day. some of the “ clean “ towels had spots on them, only a few not all. Overall, our stay was a 5/10. Beach is close and so is food spots that’s a plus....

"The younger girl at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. It was to be welcomed by someone so pleasant and friendly. The ocean front rooms are spacious with nice balconies overlooking the boardwalk and the beach."
