Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, an HQ Luxury Resort & Residences
8/10 Good
"I wanted to love Hodges Bay but we had an overall ok stay. Our transportation from the airport was mishandled but was fixed at the end and our return shuttle to the airport was taken care of. The resort was fairly empty as we often had the pool to ourselves and got familiar with other guests quickly. We decided to try the Asian specialty restaurant the 1st night and it took over an hour and 15 min to get our meals. They were only 4 other tables at the restaurant during that time, so I’m not sure why. We had to flag down our waitress several times for an update and they were no apologies or anything. Many staff were nice but others wouldn’t even greet you or say “good morning” back when you say it first. Simple courtesy and manners were not returned. The food at White Sands was good. At breakfast they served the same thing, a typical Caribbean breakfast but not much complaints there. We enjoyed the chicken roti and burger from the bar area the most. Food did add up and ended up being quite costly. There’s no entertainment or even live music so if you’re looking for that, this is not the place. We were upgraded to a suite with a butler on arrival which was a nice touch with beautiful views of the ocean. The cleaning was subpar in the bathroom. I did thoroughly enjoy my time at the spa. I traveled with my toddler and husband and there’s not much things for children to do. Although I did have a relaxed time, we would not be returning."
"Trip was so much fun. Staff was amazing. Food was great the room though needed some upgrades, but the view from the room was beautiful every morning overall it was a great time. The beach and the pool's so wonderful."
"It was a great experience. The staff was very helpful
In securing tours for our stay a helping with bags etc.
The food was also delicious. A lot of great options to choose from. Live entertainment at dinner was also very nice as well. Definitely will stay again. The beach water was absolutely beautiful with great sunset views from our beach front. The private cabana was perfect to relax and watch the sunset. Also once tired with the beach the infinity pool was great. Walk with bug repellent as there are mosquitoes at night outside the rooms. Hotel provides repellent as well. This hotel gave off a romantic eco vibe that I will definitely try again."
Escape at Nonsuch Bay Antigua - All Inclusive - Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"The room was very inviting. They placed a welcome sign made of straw on the bed when we arrived, that was very nice. The air condition unit worked very well as the weather was hot outside and it made us feel very relaxed inside. The room had ample supply of towels and tioletries.I love the plunge pool in the room, very nice and secluded.
The staff at the front desk were very accomodating.Apart from dealing with internal concerns They assisted us with outside excursions such as sightseeing tour, party at Shirley Heights and a visit to the capital St Johns to seesight abd shop. The ladies and gentlemen that serve the meals, especially Maxine were very nice and willing to accomodate your dietary needs. For the 4 nights they attended to us well, giving us ample food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar also serve beer and hard liquor as requested
The bar needs to serve more local beer as they stated that they only have Carib. Another flaw is the lack of nightly entertainment and daily activities for couples ,a suggestion maybe some sporting activities and games night."
Royalton CHIC Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort – Adults Only
8/10 Good
"Stayed in an over the water style lodging. Super cool super nice, lots of little details needed attention but was nice.
Staff for that portion super helpful. The rest of the resort was okay not in my top 5 stays but not in the worst 5 either. Big disconnect between the diamond club staff and the rest of staff. Cool experience."
"Everything single thing about this resort was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were amazing and beautiful human beings that made our stay the most enjoyable. Food.... impeccable, the beach... breathtaking! I would return over and over again. Much love to each and every staff!"
