"Overall, the hotel wasn’t very clean and hallways smelled strongly of marijuana. Thankfully our room felt fairly clean. We went to breakfast 40 minutes before it was supposed to end and there was no warm food remaining and the waffle maker was broken. Overall we don’t recommend staying at this hotel and we won’t be returning.. "

"The freezer needed to be defrosted, badly. I left a watch charger there and they wouldn't send it to me. I had to arrange for UPS to pick it up and deliver it. (I live 5 hours away). Seemed pretty cheap onn their part. Especially after I paid for 2 days and only stayed 1."

"Patrick and Debi were amazing hosts.The property is very clean and well kept.They were very accommodating and personable and the grounds were very peaceful and quiet.Breakfast was delicious and we will always choose Shane Acres over any hotel when we need a place to stay in the Madison area. "The hotel was everything you'd want. I arrived late and the night staff member warmly welcomed me and had everything ready. Basically, he handed me the room keys and I headed straight to the room. The room was clean and everything was in good repair. Breakfast was good with plenty of options."

"Booked a double queen room, when we got there they only had a single king available. When we got to the room and pulled out the pullout couch there was no mattress. I went to the front desk and was told there aren’t mattresses on the pullouts and was given a pillow and a blanket for my daughter to sleep on. Needless to say we all slept in the king. Why would I pay for a double queen room for 3 of us to share a bed. Highly unsatisfied."

"The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Most of the guests live there as residents and hang out outside in front. Most of them are retired or near retired age. I found the residents to be polite and respectful during the quiet hours early in the morning and in the evening after 8pm. The motel isn't fancy, but the bed was extremely comfortable, as were the sheets, pillows, and blankets. They seemed new, or near new. The internet is very slow, but just fine to stream YouTube and Netflix. While...

"The hotel is in a quiet environment with beautiful trees and green lawns. We booked a room for 4 people, and it was pretty spacious when we walked in. The purpose of our stay was for the daughter’s graduation ceremony at UW, so it was around a 20 minute drive away from campus (a little far but not a problem if you have a car). "NOT PET FRIENDLY EVEN THO WHEN I BOOKED MY ROOM IT SAID PET FRIENDLY THEY ARE NOT! This is FAULSE ADVERTISEMENT AND THIS IS ILLEGAL!! I DID NOT STAY THEY DENIED ME THE ROOM AND WONT REFUND MY MONEY!!! And my “pet” is ESA THAT YOU CANT DENY!!"
