We had a great one night stay... the room was quiet as requested, hotel spotless and staff helpful. Good breakfast with all food choices well stocked. Hotel ideal for stop over and could also work for a longer stay.

Good for an overnight stop

Good choice if you are using the station as you literally walk out the hotel and into the station. Had everything you need and a good breakfast. Hard to be understood in English but we were in Japan!

Arai pro tip on a budget

So glad that heard about this place! Right next to the bullet train. It was perfect for going to Arai every day! Be sure to book the free shuttle in advance to get to the mountain (ski resort). Fantastic breakfast! They even hook you up with pajamas! Too bad I don’t bother with those.😛 It was appreciated nonetheless.

The room had a smell, the pillow was like a bag of oats, and the bed was as hard as the floor - and I like a hard bed. I had to sleep on top of a doubled up blanket to stop my hips from hurting. Breakfast was fine, just eggs and little sausages for the non-Japanese eaters, but the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in walking distance to the train station in a nice, open neighborhood. There are a couple of restaurants in walking distance and an onsen as well as a Lawson. Very convenient location. I really enjoyed our clean space. For the breakfast, my only concern is that some of the items were heavily salted. Other than that, I would stay again.

Always love this hotel, when my car was snowed in, staff came out helping me to shovel my way out and called a large heavy operator machine to clean part of the lot so I could get out. For a business hotel, I can’t get enough of how convenient it is. By far the most comfortable and best stay in Joetsu for a convenient price. Will be back again.

After staying here for five days, I went to LOTTE arai resort and only two days later I came back again. Between a luxury resort and a business hotel, I found this place to be a bang for your buck. It was really a more comfortable bed pillow and stay. It was very updated, rooms were great and we had plenty of space in the double room this time over the two twins. Overall I really enjoyed my time, parking was ample and staff was very friendly. Next time coming back will have to take a look at the Toyoko membership and stay the same place. The location very central when visiting ski resorts only 20-35 mins per ski resort drive distance. Super convenient.
