"This location is right in the heart of the University of Virginia grounds so it was very easy for us to drive to John Paul Jones arena for the basketball game and to Klockner Stadium for the lacrosse game. "Nice, modern and elegant hotel in very good condition and beautiful grounds. Conveniently located when visiting UVA campus. Could be improved: restauration options. Diner and breakfast options were limited and costly. Parking was valet only and expensive."

"Great amenities. Enjoyed the spa, steam room, bar,falcon class, hiking trails and more. I was surprised the heated pools were open in February next time I'm bringing my bathing suit for some winter swimming. Our room was in the 700 building overlooking the lake. It did have a mini fridge that was a nice surprise. It didn't have elevator so conceige kindly carried my luggage up the stairs to the second floor. Our room did have an updated bathroom and a small outdoor balcony overlooking the lake....

"We had a grand time staying at the Afton Inn! If I had any questions the host responded in less then 10 minutes! The Inn was immaculate, and the staff I talked with were extremely kind and helpful. "Absolutely awful. Turned away by rude and aggressive manager because I arrived after 10 PM. He kept shouting, "Read the contract! Read the contract!" I ended up driving around until the fourth place I tried had an open room. I strongly recommend that you strike this location from your service; but, if you leave it up, I strongly recommend to anyone considering staying here that they strongly reconsider. "
