"The best thing about my room was the renovated tiny bathroom. It had nice marble and sink but the toilet seat was loose. And that was just the beginning of the poor state of things. The room was pretty clean but the door paint had been chipped and not repainted and the door handle was barely functional. I definitely used the deadbolt lock. "Lovely staff. The breakfast wasn’t good though. I read so many reviews that said it was great and the muffins were baked fresh. It was a plastic wrapped blueberry muffin, and a piece of lemon cake. Two clementines and two bananas, and 2 coffees that tasted burnt and was given 4 sugars and 4 creamers. Wasn’t too thrilled about the jacuzzi and didn’t use it. The jets weren’t the cleanest. Needs a lot of updates."

"Positives: Staff was friendly. Check-in went smoothly. We got a deluxe room with 2 queen beds. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable enough. The water pressure in the shower was also good. The pool area was clean and the kids enjoyed it. There is a diner right next door. Negatives: Everything was worn. There were marks on the walls that weren't repaired. "Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. I happened to meet the owner and he was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The hotel staff were so accomodating to all that we needed. The breakfast & snacks and beverages they offer complimentary are a game changer and make the stay that much more relaxing. "Quiet and clean hotel. Nice area. The rooms were clean and they had the balcony door (had a screen) open so we had a nice breeze and fresh air upon entering our room. Not stuffy like the usual hotel smell. "Breakfast" is offered on site but there were very limited options (I'm not the picky type) so we opted for our bananas and granola bars we already had with us. Overall, nice accommodations. Can't complain."

"What a lovely little place. It is what it is; a refurbished roadside motel with modest rooms and fun decor but it does it so well. Adorable, great location, clean and nice mattresses. Really loved it."
