"Was a privilege to stay here , I don’t think I’ve ever come across such friendly staff , The Duty Manager certainly went above and beyond , by firstly telling us all about the Newport Marathon and printed a map ,plus suggested viewing places to see our friend running .. then on the day of leaving I discovered a had a slow puncture , another member of staff lent me her plug in tyre pump and the manager looked up nearest tyre fitters for me .. every member of staff was so friendly and they all looked as though they loved their jobs Well done Holiday Inn Express Newport 10/10 "

"Great location to the conference I was attending"

"Breakfast was served in the main hotel, as the breakfast sometimes served in PAD for Manor House guests was closed. Breakfast was brilliant and sausages a stand out. Four poster room in the Manor House was great, nicely decorated and comfortable. Only niggle was getting ice from both room service and main hotel bar was near impossible. The handbook in the room said ice machines on every floor, which was clearly only the main hotel and not the Manor House. Tried then getting ice from room service who sent only an ice bucket pointless. Then went to the main hotel bar Merlin’s where bar staff questioned me where the ice was going. I’ve never had to justify why or where I wanted ice in a hotel. Use of the forum spa was fantastic and both relaxing and enjoyable. Lots of space and wasn’t too busy through our stay which was a bonus. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend to all."

"It's a student halls of residence. If that's what you're expecting I would imagine you'd be very happy with the room. If you're expecting a hotel, it's not a hotel. It was exactly as I was expecting. Comfortable, no frills, perfectly fine for a one night stay for me. Wifi was great. A little bit of noise at times, it's student accommodation, but not too noisy by a long way. I recently stayed at the IBIS in Bristol and that was far noisier. Would happily book again for a short stay."
