"Our stay at the Palacio de Santa Ines was really lovely! We had a view of the Alhambra, the hotel had a lovely riad-type layout, and the AC worked great, which was truly fantastic given that we were there during a heat wave and it was more than 100F/37C out for several of the days we were there. The hotel is in a wonderful convenient location for walkers, close to everything in the Albaicin - shops, restaurants, the Cathedral, Sacromonte.
The front desk staff were uniformly helpful and wonderful with everything and gave us advice on the bus system, places we wanted to go to, use of the Granada Card, coordination of a taxi to the airport early in the morning, etc. We also had laundry done, and both the front desk and the laundry service did a great job.
The only reason I removed a star was that the card keys we were given for our room had consistent issues throughout our stay. The initial keys we were given did not work, and after we were given replacement keys, the replacements stopped working after about a day and we again had to get replacements. The front desk was extremely lovely and helpful about all of this, but it was a hassle, particularly when we returned to our room twice after a long day of walking around outside in the heat only to find we were locked out again. Other than that, though, we would definitely stay at the Palacio de Santa Inez again!"
"Great location for Granada. Easy tax ride (or shuttle) to Alhambra. Rooftop pool is more a plunge-pool but very nice all the same. Breakfasts were excellent! Finding the parking was very difficult - the hotel needs to do more to guide people in. The satnav doesn’t cope with the local streets."
"This is a wonderful, big, historic hotel. The rooms are quite large by any standard, however furnishings were stark and modern. Bathrooms are big and wonderful. A large tub was included. The breakfast is delicious. One annoying issue emerged during breakfast. A drone flew around the breakfast buffet and adjacent front lobby multiple times making a loud and disruptive hissing noise. Staff could not tell us exactly what the drone was used for. We complained and staff told their manager and it was stopped. Really, a 5 star hotel should be concerned about maintaining a 5 star ambiance in its public spaces at all times. This was a very odd and disconcerting experience. I give credit to the staff for resolving the issue. No further drone activity was spotted during the remainder of our stay."
"The staff was wonderful. My wife twisted her knee touring the town and they were very helpful, making reservations, bringing ice for the knee, etc. The location is great, across a narrow street from the beautiful cathedral. We drove to the hotel and the underground parking was very convenient. The room wasn’t large but very comfortable. Breakfast was good but not great. All in all a great experience."
"Beautiful place but need to go into it thinking it’s more like an Airbnb. Do
Your shopping before you arrive as there is nothing there. The onsite restaurant is amazing but not open often. No breakfast included even though on booking it says it is. You’ll need to buy essentials like milk, coffee, tea, basically everything food wise but it has its own kitchen and fridge freezer and cutlery etc.
Amazing views
Pool great
Waterfall appreciated !
We booked the jacuzzi room and it was lovely.
Sleep With shutters closed as you’ll hear every dog and cockerel within miles in the valley. It can be peaceful but not from 04:30!!
The air conditioning was welcoming and worked well and was quiet.
There’s alot of flies but we bought a huge can of spray to keep them at bay in the apartment.
The room doesn’t get cleaned daily but that was fine with us as it didn’t need doing.
There is one guy (Jose) who looks after the whole area who speaks no English but very friendly and as helpful as he can be. But I was on WhatsApp with the owner who would relay messages to Jose.
If you walk down into the village square (5mins) there is a wonderful kiosk that does great Tapas etc and the locals frequent it nightly which shows how good it is. You’ll need google translate and it is perfectly Spanish speaking only. We went often as the food was wonderful. The prices were extremely low. All in all, we would definitely go back."
