"Was not a good experience "

"Pros: Check in was quick and painless. Rooms, pool & spa very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Loved the variety of fresh items for breakfast. Very clean area also. We loved how our room had front parking and very close to pool, spa and walk to beach. The outer grass areas (cigarettes everywhere), garbage cans overflowing), guests were loud and people drilling outside at 12 am-2 . And although beds were very clean, they were very uncomfortable . Back was killing us in the morning. Cracks and building structure seemed outdated and in need of work. Very concerning for property Oceanside. "

"The Sandcastle is a beautiful place. The beach is right out the front door and downtown is just a few minutes walk. The rooms and facilities were spotless and comfortable and the staff were exceptional. Our only issue was paying $30/day for parking. They have a parking lot, we paid for the room so we felt like paying extra for parking was unacceptable. Also, if your room is located near the deck and common area, don't expect quiet. It's a bar/gathering place not just for guests but for the public and was quite noisy."

"The location was fine, nothing fancy and basic. That’s okay. However, the room I stayed in (115) was disgusting. The window was damaged and you couldn’t see out as if it was previously painted over? The room itself was so rancid with the strong smell of cigarettes and marijauna, it was in the bedding, the ventilation as well. I had to go get my own blankets and pillows to sleep properly because the smell on the fabric was so strong. The walls were super dirty and had marks, food drippings or whatever it was all over them. The shower was dirty and the bathroom was not great. There was residual trash under the bed, I didn’t far go on my hands and knees due to the condition of the floors, they were sticky, and dirty which left my socks black. The shining star of this stay was that there were zero refrigerator or microwave in the room itself, which I find odd as most motels will provide one for use. Overall a terrible stay at this motel 6, and normally I’m not one to complain or judge a motel 6, it’s for cost saving measure and expectations are on the floor with all the dirt and grime of this room. Overall I’ll stay at another hotel when in the pismo beach area."
