We were on the 5th floor and the Wi-Fi was terrible, never connected and was not available 80% of the time. For two people there were only 3 hangers, we asked reception multiple times for more with no luck. There are no irons or kettles in the rooms. The breakfast is very poor in taste and options, there is no flat bread to toast, food is not labelled, orange and peach taste like water, and you have to pay for orange juice.
Only good thing is the location, 5-10mins walk to the bazaar, close to the tram line. Confusion on checkout time, Expedia says 11.30am, reception says 12pm.. if booking transport, probably best to book via hotel, should be 1500-1800TL each way. Don’t use Travelium via Expedia as they are not allowed to approach the hotel and will ask you to walk 10mins. Having visited this hotel 10 years ago, the quality has drastically fallen, the food was better before and they even gave two water bottle each day, not you only get one on arrival. It’s unfortunately gone from a 4 star to a 2 star. The rooftop restaurant is shockingly expensive, for two people small lunch cost £75, and they refused the 10% discount for hotel staff, which the hotel advertised everywhere. It’s sad to see this hotel fall apart, but they have the potential to fix the key issues and work back to a 4 star again. All the best to them.
