If you can afford the extra get a room with a view .We didn't and had a lovely view of the car park. We were also there on a holiday weekend (Which we were unaware of before arrival) and made the mistake of not booking dinner months or weeks before our arrival so the restaurant was already booked out for the two nights of our stay. It was difficult to get in anywhere as it was a holiday. Poor planning on my part. As I had booked my stay here many months in advance it might have been nice to have been sent an email with the option of booking for dinner as it was a holiday and the restaurant was always going to be booked out but oh well. But it was a nice area and a nice stay. Very comfortable room and very comfortable beds and pillows. The in house Onsen was brilliant!!
Upon our arrival, an employee greeted us and helped with luggage. The public area was elegant and displayed so many beautiful artwork and antiques. Being at the top of a hill and by the ocean/bay, the view was gorgeous especially during cherry blossom season. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection mainly Japanese food including pacific lobster miso soup. There was a spacious coffee/tea ( snacks) area with the same beautiful view. Our room was a tatami, sofa set, and bed combo and was very spacious. It offered coffee beans with a mill and various tea bags. We didn't use our room bath as we bathed in the onsen which providedmany amenities. The room also provided a bag of amenities as well.
Overall, we had a lovely 2-night stay and would like to have stayed a bit longer just to relax in the room.
