We had a lovely cosy home from home stay, so peaceful and quiet and kay was welcoming and very friendly.

Fantastic place at an affordable rate

Kay's place is so, so nice, and it really feels like home somehow. I had a single room, which was good enough for me, with very comfy bed and everything needed for a good stay. The common spaces are so well equipped, the kitchen is great, and the living room looked great too but I did not have a chance to use it. The place is very quiet and Tomatin as a whole is, with a special mention for the Tastes of Tomatin café too, that Kay recommended. Kay herself is a very nice and kind person and she gave me valuable tips for my travel. My only regret is to not have been able to stay for more than one night. Thank you again!

The property was easy to access off the A9. Nice opportunity to interact with other guests. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped and very easy to use.

This was our favorite place we stayed while on vacation. Loved the look, how clean everything was. It was also very quiet which was nice. Will definitely be back

Beautiful, remote location within easy walking distance of the Tomatin Distillery. The drive into Inverness is quite lovely. The lodges itself is quiet, clean, and cozy with a very well appointed kitchen available for guests to use. We loved our stay here.

Man fühlt sich fast wie daheim

Gut gelegen um Ausfüge zu machen, z.B. in den Highland Wildlife Park, nach Inverness, oder Loch Ness. Sehr liebevolle und nette Betreuung. Absolut ruhig und in schöner Natur gelegen. Man kommt trotzdem gut mit dem Auto hin.

Kay was an absolutely wonderful host! With the Floris Storm on its way, she kindly welcomed us into her home early in the morning, offering warmth and comfort from the very first moment. Her kindness made us feel as though we were visiting an old friend rather than checking into accommodation. The lounge, filled with dozens of games, became a magical playground for our children, keeping them happy and entertained while we relaxed. After moving through seven different accommodations during our time in Scotland, Glenan Lodge stood out by far — warm, welcoming, and full of heart. Without hesitation, we vote it our number one favourite!

Rigtigt charmerende hotel med en skøn vært og gode køkkenfaciliteter til selv at kunne lave mad, hvilken var essentielt med tanke på at der hverken var spisesteder eller handlemuligheder lige i nærheden - det tætteste var godt 16 mil væk. Men dejligt roligt midt i skoven, og med Tomatin Distilleri 5 min gågang væk - som bestemt er et besøg værd!

Glenan Lodge Self Catering was a great place to stay, quiet and a great base to explore the area. We enjoyed the living area downstairs as well as the very well equipped kitchen. A bonus was the super comfy bed!

This lodge is such a gem and it deserves all the praise. The woman who runs it is absolutely lovely — so kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly. We ended up chatting with her a lot, and she always made time for us, which we really appreciated (especially since we probably talked her ear off, sorry!). She had good tips for our day trip to Skye, places to shop, eat, hike, and which castles were a must see in the area. The home itself is so cute. I loved the bar and dining room, everything has such a cozy, charming vibe that makes you instantly feel at home. The living room has a fire place and there were board games that we really enjoyed playing after our long days out. The location is great too, just a short drive to lots of beautiful nature spots and tourist sites in the Highlands. Truly, any time we’re heading to the Highland area again, we’re staying here. It’s just awesome. Highly, highly recommend (even if I wish I could keep it all to myself!).

Beautiful country stay.

Best bed on my trip so far! Beautiful lodge away from everything. Self catering means bring and cook your own food. Close enough to use as an option instead of staying in Inverness.

Fantastic spot. We were 2 adults and 2 kids from Canada. It was our first experience in self-catering, and we kind of fell in love with it. You get the benefit of a private room and bathroom witht the added bonus of a shared kitchen, living room and dining room. The room allowed the kids to have their own beds and was clean and well stocked. The kitchen had all the cookware I could imagine needing, we utilized this space and didnt find it too busy with other guests, we were able to work well around each other. The dining area was very spacious and cozy. There is a little table just off the kitchen that we loved, and it doubled as a great games table. The living room was also very cozy and had loads of games for the kids. The area was beautifully quiet and the kids were able to go outside and explore the farms across the street and down the road that were full of sheep and bunnies. Watch for bunnies while driving there. They are everywhere, and so cute. It had this beautiful community feeling that was really charming. A big thank you to Kay for an amazing stay.
