This was our 6th time staying at Hyatt House. The hotel is in a great downtown location & being directly across from Gainbridge Fieldhouse so perfect for Pacers games, concerts etc. The rooms are always spotless & the beds are comfy. The breakfast bar is AMAZING! Tons of great options & always hot & fresh! This last visit was disappointing with a couple of staff members at check in. We found them short, dismissive & a little bit argumentative when it came to the parking garage parking. In the past, we were visiting for my Husband’s cancer surgery and treatments and we booked through an organization called Procare through IU Healthcare. They are extremely helpful and when you book with them, you get free parking in the garage. Otherwise it’s $52 per night (yes $52!)to park in the garage attached to the Hyatt house. You’re supposed to as we were told several times, scan your room card to get out but it didn’t work. In fact I got charged double for my parking which has recently been refunded. I voiced my concern and I was told that they were very busy. I understand that they are busy, but I am a paying customer AND a repeat customer and I just wanted my concerns heard. These two particular staff members will not discourage us from staying here again, but I think they need a little bit of a lesson in Customer Service and pleasantries! Thank you!
