Directly across the street from the ferry terminal and only a short walk to the bus station made it a very convenient overnight stay for mt travels. The room was perfectly clean and the bed quite comfortable. Nice private balcony with table and chairs. Short walk to the pedestrian street with many inexpensive tavernas.

Great welcoming hotel. The manager was very friendly and gave some great tips on local restaurants. The bus from Ioannina dropped us off across the road at the ferry terminus which was very convenient. Excellent value and very central to everything. We had a lovely room overlooking the ferries which we could watch from our balcony. Would highly recommend

Best Location!

The Astoria Hotel is perfectly located directly opposite the port—ideal if you need convenient access. Upon entry, the air-conditioned foyer felt cool and luxurious. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our rooms were spacious, with strong air conditioning and large, well-appointed bathrooms. The hotel is situated right next to several restaurants and cafes, and there’s convenient parking available at the rear. I would definitely stay at the Astoria Hotel again and highly recommend it.

Not what we had hoped for

The gentleman who checked us in was very kind but we had to sit out on the sidewalk for an hour waiting for him to arrive so we could get inside the hotel. We arrived at 2 in the afternoon and he showed up at 3:00 pm. We’d spent hours in the car driving there so this wasn’t how we wanted to begin our stay. They upgraded us to a room facing the water. The 2nd floor smelled like the sewer had backed up and permeated the air. When we got into our room, we opened the windows to get some fresh air and eliminate the sewer smell. We had to leave it open overnight because of the smell. There was a good deal of traffic noise throughout the night so we didn’t get a good sleep. They also do not serve any breakfast here but the food is good next door.

Lovely people

Quick stop off of the ferry from Bari on the way down to Lefkas for a sailing holiday - but what lovely people! Couldn't have been more helpful even though we were only staying one night: Checked bus times for us, organised a taxi, a very late check in. Not the Ritz but great value if you're catching/arriving the ferry from Italy

The reception went very well. The person at reception was charming and welcoming. She even made an effort to speak French. The next morning, when it was time to return the keys, I asked if we could wait for the boat in the hotel lobby in the afternoon. And a receptionist, different from the one in the evening, absolutely refused and even told us to go to the cafe next door. I tried to negotiate but nothing worked. I even told her that I had paid for a room in this hotel, but she was flatly refused... too bad because it wasn't businesslike at all.
