"We arrived late (maybe around 11pm) and you check in at the restaurant downstairs on the first floor. We were told we were the last guests to arrive, but the hostess was very kind and luckily they had an elevator to our 4th floor room. The room was nice, modern, and the kitchenette even had an oven. After staying our previous 4 nights in small towns or remote rooms, it was fun to see a nightlife on a Saturday night in Akureyri, with lots of people still on the streets as we were checking in. You have to park in the large lot behind the place and walk to it, but it was fine. We attended church Sunday morning at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it was right next door and wonderful."

"One night stayed the room was very clean, looks like newly renovated. however there was no shampoos and conditions so we had to pick up from the store. "

"Very nice and clean modern rooms. There is self check in and you don’t interact with any staff, which was fine. The bathroom was very clean, the shower was great with variable pressure and very warm. I appreciated they had a hairdryer. The bed was comfortable and there was a smart TV which was nice at the end of the day! There is a small fridge in the room but in the dining area, there is a large fridge and microwave for you to use. There’s even a hot tub. It was the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Iceland. "

"The breakfast included was excellent. Staff were lovely and helpful. Single room was very small but no complaints as it was great that they had single rooms. Also the room had a great view over the fjord. Highly recommended. "

"Great service, especially the hotel manager, she was fantastic! At nightime, during the midnight sun, when all the tour buses and travelers are gone,you have the whole waterfall to yourself. It is was my favorite waterfall in Iceland. The food is good, the beds are clean, spend at least two nights there to truely enjoy the area. "
