"Excellent hotel perfectly located. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was quite spacious and the bed comfortable. No disturbances from outside noises. I was a bit taken aback by the bathroom layout but that didn’t takes away from the comfort of the room. I was able to park around the corner from the hotel and assumed it was free public parking but can’t say for sure. I didn’t get a ticket"

"The evening meal was delicious. Breakfast was tasty but as there was a single person managing reception and the cooking unfortunately there was quite a wait and I did feel sorry for the lady who was working flat out trying to do it all"

"I have stayed a few times. The deluxe, modernised, rooms are better and worth paying that little bit more. Saying that it is a comfortable stay whatever room you choose. Excellent breakfasts. Fantastic staff and location is great as well. "

"Clean room, good breakfast, comfortable queen size bed although always prefer a king size. Shower door got stuck which was a bit of a nuisance. "

"Breakfast was fine. The location was excellent. The staff were very helpful and happy to share their local knowledge. There were some quirky things about the lights in the room such as the foyer light being on a sensor that seemed to be activated when approached from a distance. It took a long time to go out! Room was ok."

"My brother and I stayed here whilst visiting our family graves from world war 1 around Ypres. The hotel was an excellent base for the visit, and even has a bunker, field gun , trenches and shells, and a massive crater within the grounds of the hotel. If I was in the area again I would be happy to stay here again "
