"Basically, you are getting a facility similar to a motel, still present as Star Hotel. I have known this group for 16 years. Recently, I found that the standards and quality of this particular hotel have declined, with untrained staff and many other areas needing improvement and upgrading."

"After many years of travelling, we stayed at our first bed & breakfast at No.5 East. Beautiful old mansion with beautiful rooms to stay in. Nice area with restaurants and shopping around the corner. Continental breakfast was great and the Latte’s exceptional. The hosts were amazing and easy to talk to. We will certainly stay again on our next visit to Winnipeg. 5 stars from us"

"Good enough place. Location is at the back of a industrial and shoppjng area. If you like outlet malls you will like it. But it isnt the best locale....plus the pool and gym were closed without me being aware."

"Fantastic stay. Love the historic aspects and neat architecture! Only thing is there was no kitchen bar of any kind in the room, but when we requested a feidge it was promptly suppkied while we were eating supper. "

"Honestly I didn’t feel too safe at this location. There is a pub/bar connected and it truthfully just gave me not so great vibes. I didn’t want to leave my room if it was dark and the unit doors had a 1-2 inch gap at the bottom, so if I put my phone on the ground… I could pretty much see into the unit across the hall. I had to use a towel to cover mine. Also, because of this - that meant you could literally hear EVERYTHING from in the hall or other units… I won’t be staying here again. "

"Everything about the room was fine, except there was a wedding or something going on and the end result was a constant stream of noisy intoxicated people talking and slamming doors between about 2 and 4 AM!"

"I was refused parking by the valet. Apparently my truck was too high for the valet to park it. I have never had issues with my truck getting parked by other valets in the past. This valet in the process of denying parking also didn’t assist my mother (who uses a walker) and I with our luggage. I did not appreciate the service this time around. "

"This property was amazing! Staff friendly, convent to so much and restaurants around was amazing! Easy parking and rooms were amazingly clean! "

"First and foremost the staff where absolutely fantastic. The building is aging and not much has been done to keep things current. Our room had no windows and was very hot and stuffy. Staff provided a fan but we had to leave the door open to the room after every shower otherwise it was unbearable. There was a light in our room that was non functioning and you could tell by looking at it that it was fried. Tv dos not work the first night(we where offered another room but did not want to lug...
