"The one star rating for communication is for the reservation foul up which was not the fault of the Ala Moana staff, they were amazing! Unfortunately, not booking through the hotel directly caused so much unneeded stress. I paid a lot of money before arriving and once at the hotel they had no reservation for me so I had to pay for another room through the hotel directly. I was fortunate the hotel wasn't fully booked. "The room was awesome and conveniently located literally 3 blocks from the beach and 1/2 from the market. The rooms are nice and having a kitchen, fridge and balcony was awesome. Only issue we had was there was an older asian lady security who was VERY rude and escalated a misunderstanding which made it uncomfortable. But overall this place was well worth it. Oh yeah the pool on the roof was great."
