We had a lovely stay! Great location close to the Aberdeen water front and easy to get anywhere in the city. The room was very clean and comfortable. The gym was great and the rooftop pool was nice. I wouldn’t recommend booking the breakfast but it was still nice and easy to have that option.

It is an excellent hotel. Very convenient- 4 minutes walk to bus stop and 8 minutes to MTR. The staff, especially the cleaning staff, were very friendly and helpful. They even gave me a small birthday cake and a tote bag for present, unexpectedly. The gym and the swimming pool are very well maintained. The room is very big with a very beautiful sea view - facing the Aberdeen Marina Club!

I stayed for 1 night at the Arca. It’s a bit further away from the city centre but the price was not too expensive. It was slightly confusing to walk to for the first time, took the wrong street twice, so I’d recommend taking a taxi even from Wong Chuk Hang station. The unit had a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, very clean, lots of amenities. I received a complimentary sea view upgrade. The room was quiet. The restaurant was good — enjoyed breakfast and dinner. It had a decent gym for a hotel of this price range. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to a thunderstorm on one day. Some gripes: the wifi data was slow and the room’s coffee was mediocre.

During our three-week trip to Hong Kong, we stayed at The Arca in three different rooms. Overall, we had a very good experience. The rooms are very spacious by Hong Kong standards, and the bathrooms are also unusually large. Of the rooms we stayed in, I liked the high-floor sea-view room the most — the view made the stay feel especially relaxing. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and whenever an issue came up, they were eager to resolve it quickly. The main drawback for a longer stay is the lack of a communal or self-service laundry room. There is also no convenient self-service laundry nearby. Because the weather was very hot during our stay, we needed to wash clothes frequently, and we found it quite inconvenient to take our laundry all the way to Aberdeen. The hotel does provide free laundry service once a week for monthly stays, but our three-week stay did not qualify. The hotel’s regular laundry service is also quite expensive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated the spacious rooms, large bathrooms, sea view and helpful staff. For shorter stays, I would happily recommend the hotel. For longer stays, I do wish they had a guest laundry facility.

I want to join the many others on Expedia that have given the Arca 4 stars. This was our second visit and we will be staying with them again for our next trip yo HK. Arca is great: large rooms, great views, helpful courteous staff, and a generally convenient location away from the high energy of Central but that far away by MTR. The rooftop pool is wonderful although we were not able to use it very much during our stay because of weather. A great experience. And a shout-our to Jane and Patience who served us at breakfast as well as the housekeeping staff on the 35th floor: all were friendly, personal, and attentive. They made our stay that much more special. Thank you. Our only minor quibbles concern the early close of the pool (7 PM) and the extra charges to print out 1-2 pages at the front desk.
