"A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We were in room 3 which had a challenging set of stairs, no lift due to nature of the historic building. Very atmospheric place bang in the middle of the town great access on foot to all amenities. A 10 minute stroll to the Castle and the excellent car park. Breakfast was first class value. "This was better than I first thought. Staying for business and I need somewhere close to where I was working for 1 night. The email with entry instructions arrived in good time and entry to the building was easy too and parking across the road. Room was perfectly adequate, clean and tidy. The freshly cooked breakfast was lovely. I prefer to have breakfast earlier than 8am but that's only a personal preference. A little bit of road noise on occasion but not all night. "Hotel and room were beautiful. Check-in clerk was friendly and welcoming. Location was completely charming, and the breakfast was very good. We were in suite 7, and therein lies the problem. An hour after checking in and prior to leaving for dinner we discovered our TV didn’t work. We mentioned it to the clerk who said she would have a look while we were out to dinner if that was OK with us. We gratefully agreed and left for dinner.
