If you had given us the information (eg., key code) at the same time as we received your email confirming our booking, we wouldn't have had to spend three quarters of an hour (from 4.05pm when we arrived) trying to find someone to help us. In the end, it was the lady at Langham Hall who was very irritated by us knocking on her door - who managed to phone a number for the key code. We had tried several times ringing the numbers stated on the booking receipt, but there was no answer. The lady confirmed that those numbers were the correct ones to ask for help. There was no WiFi to email you, so we were stuck there, helpless.
However, the Barn was very spacious, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. The bathroom was rather small. The cost of the apartment was very reasonable indeed.
We had asked for disabled access, but the Barn was in no way disabled friendly. For instance, there was a high step at the entrance door, and a slippery mat just inside. There were three steep steps up into the kitchen area. There were no grab handles or arm rests surrounding the toilet. In an emergency, such as accident, fire, electrical fault, or illness, there was no one who could help, nor any means of using a mobile phone, except 100 yards away by the roadside entrance.
It would have been helpful if there had been some information about the local shops, garages, doctors, hospitals, places to visit, things to do, and a local map; most hotels have such information readily available.
